I’ve been at Martin-Baker for two years and I came with several years’ experience as a paint sprayer, therefore had some transferrable skills. However, the skills that I have learnt in my time at MBA have been incredible, I have been given so many opportunities to progress, develop and enhance my skills. Within the first six months, my managers saw potential in me, and I was registered for a magnetic particle inspection training course. I am now training to be a CNC Machinist.
All of these skills make my role very challenging but also incredibly enjoyable – no two days are the same. Working on parts that are vitally integral to the successful ejection of a seat makes my day extremely rewarding! I am hoping to hone my skills on the CNC machines, and, in time, I am looking to get the opportunity to train to be a Coded Welder and develop my career at MBA further as I absolutely love what we do. The product really does matter!
