Tom Drechsler

Tie Club # 1552

It’s been 30 years, November 16,1987, flying an F-18A over the Pacific 80 miles west of San Diego. After a catastrophic high pressure compressor failure, a titanium fire ensued which burned through causing the 2nd engine to soon catch on fire. Thanks to Martin Baker it was but a blip in my life and flying career. Today, I couldn’t be more thankful as my 2 boys are now 25 and  22 living their own incredible lives. Martin Baker gave me the chance to marry and father these most amazing and special boys to witness them make a difference in the world.

My sincerest thanks for reliable ejection seat when needed the most. I owe you all everything. Keep up the good work.

Most Respectfully,

Tom
