The hunt is on for the very best of British in the world of manufacturing and design. The ‘Made By Britain’ project was launched last year by Business Minister, Vince Cable, to celebrate the companies that really do put the Great into Britain. Each MP has been asked to nominate a company in their constituency and our local MP, the Rt Hon Dominic Grieve, has nominated us! Initially the results will be shown on an online interactive map – see below link – with the project potentially expanding to a number of initiatives to coincide with the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee this year.

As a nation, our view of British manufacturing is fairly ambivalent, and we have a tendency to think that nothing of any importance is manufactured in the UK. This initiative is hoping to turn this opinion around and show just how much of a presence the United Kingdom has on a global stage.
