Maintainers

Mick Warrington

A life long tradition among RAF Armourers is to make departing colleagues a “gizzit”.

I proudly keep the attached in my garage on my workbench as a reminder of a fantastic time serving at RAF Coltishall supporting the Jaguar aircraft, my time working in the seat bay was one of the many highlights of my career… I left on promotion and was humbled to be presented with the attached made from unserviceable seat parts. I went from maintaining seats to fitting them, I have been lucky enough to work within a trade renowned for its comradery and professionalism, but enhanced by those people who take the time to make things like the attached.

This gymnast still works after 20 years, if only i was still as nimble as i was 20 years ago!
