I joined the RAF in 1982 and after about 12 months in training, I had my first tour, RAF Wattisham on the mighty Phantom. I got to know the escape system inside out very quickly, I think after pretty much every sortie you could pretty much garentee the rear seat pan would come out for one of the ancillary trades. Over 10 years thousands of remove/fit.
