I have been involved with Martin-Baker ejection seats in some form or another over the last 20 years. Joining the Royal Air Force as a young man and choosing the trade of weapons Technician I worked with MK10 seats on Tornado and Mk16a on Typhoon aircraft. I am now a civilian and now my work finds me on a new aircraft manufacturing project out in the United Arab Emirates as a weapons systems engineer and senior seat maintainer on the JPATS MK16 ejection seat. Working together and interacting with Martin-Baker on this project has given me an even bigger respect for the professionalism of the company and the work that goes in to these great pieces of engineering. Long may the collaboration continue. Respect to all the guys and girls still out there on the front line, aircrew and groundcrew together putting their trust into Martin-Baker equipment.
